According to the statement made by the Presidency of Defense Industries, the acceptance activities of the ŞAHİN system developed for the Turkish Armed Forces within the scope of the contract signed between the Presidency and ASELSAN were completed and added to the inventory.
Developed for the destruction of rotary-wing and fixed-wing mini-micro UAV and model aircraft threats, ŞAHİN can perform target tracking and ballistic calculations for the target by providing orientation (engagement) to the position reported from the radar.
The system can be used in areas such as the protection of critical facilities, border security and air defense. In addition, the ŞAHİN system, which is located on a towable trailer and has a modular system architecture, has easy transfer and installation features.
