Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) became the champion of Türkiye in patent applications.

According to the company's statement, TAI led Turkey in the first quarter of the year in international patent applications to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

As of this year, TAI made 175 national and 87 international applications, and the total number of utility model applications was 78. 232 of the national, international and utility model applications were made in the last 3 years.

Having received the WIPO Best Domestic Invention Award, Sertaç Köksaldı Intellectual Property Rights Achievement Award, ISIF'19 GRAND PRIX and IFIA GRAND PRIX awards, respectively, in previous years, TAI carries out studies that will increase its patent applications and quality.

TAI is concerned with air data, flight computer, navigation and landing systems used in Anka, "Şimşek's thermal trace enhancing system", flight control assemblies in Hürkuş and Hürjet aircraft, nanomaterials, composite and additive manufacturing production methods to produce aircraft structural parts. has patents and patent applications.

Making evaluations on the subject, TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil used the following statements:

"There is a significant increase in our patent applications every year compared to the previous year. Patents are the most realistic indicators of companies' current work and areas that companies will invest in for the next 10-20 years. Companies that use patent engineering correctly in this context stand out compared to others. Patents are for the company. are direct and indirect commercial incomes. Today, a large part of companies' income has started to consist of intangible assets such as patents, utility models and brands. Therefore, patents should be seen as very important financial resources that can be considered as an investment for the future."
