Participating in the conversation held in the coastal filling area within the scope of the 56th International Tekirdağ Cherry Festival, Kotil gave information about TAI.

Stating that Turkey wants to be in the top 7 in the defense industry, Kotil continued as follows:

"We will enter soon. We are making 3 Atak helicopters a month. Hopefully from Gökbey, we will build 2 a month from 2023. Our Atak helicopter is 5 tons. It is the best helicopter in the world in its class. Now we are making the 11-ton Atak-2 helicopter. On March 18, 2023." "It will make its first flight. It will make its first flight in 9 months. This is a completely original helicopter. It will be licensed by TAI, completely domestic. The production of Hürjet, a training and light attack aircraft prepared for the first flight on March 18, 2023, continues."

Kotil stated that the National Combat Aircraft is the fifth generation.

Stating that the F-16s are the third generation fighter jets, Kotil said:

"When F-16s see the enemy, they engage. The third generations chase each other, but the fifth generation does not. The fifth generation planes finish their work hundreds of kilometers away and go home. When there is a fifth generation plane, the radars cannot see it. We are making a fifth generation fighter jet. There's a lot of computers on it, a lot of radar. They can see everywhere, you can't get close. The best plane in the world is the F-22, the Americans don't sell it to anyone. Only the US Air Force uses it. There is also the F-35, they sell it. Our plane is two of them. "The Chinese, the Russians and the Turks make it. We have 3 aircraft. Hürkuş, Hürjet and National Combat Aircraft are important for the survival of the country. The National Combat Aircraft will be 100 percent national."

Kotil stated that as TAI they are making communication satellites, 5B, 5A satellites are flying, and 6A satellites will be built by themselves.

Süleymanpaşa District Governor Harun Kaya, Süleymanpaşa Mayor Cüneyt Yüksel, party representatives and students attended the program.

After the talk, the opening of the exhibition in which the national warplanes were introduced was held.
