Turkish defense industry companies appeared in the Gulf Defense and Aviation Fair (GDA 2019) with armored vehicles, naval platforms, weapon systems, information security and software solutions.

Turkish defense industry moves its power to Kuwait

The SEE 2019 held in Kuwait brought together military and civilian officials from Kuwait and the countries of the region, as well as defense and aviation companies.

Turkish defense industry also participated in the fair with the coordination of Presidency of Defense Industry Presidency and the support of Defense and Aviation Industry Exporters Association (SSI).

Otokar, one of the armored vehicles manufacturers, exhibited Arma 6x6 and Cobra II and Nurol Makina Ejder TOMA vehicles. 

Machinery and Chemical Industry Authority, ATA Weapon Industry, TİSAŞ-Trabzon Weapon and ZSR are taking part in the fair with their products in the field of weapon systems and ammunition.

STM Defense Technologies Engineering and Trade Inc., ARES Shipyard, Military Factory and Shipyard Operation Inc. (ASFAT), DEARSAN Shipyard, DESAN, TAIS Shipyard and Yonca-Onuk are participating in the fair with a wide range of product range.

HAVELSAN, MilSOFT Software Technologies, Ortem Electronics, SİMSOFT, TÜBİTAK BİLGEM, Otonom Teknoloji will also explain their capabilities in various fields including electronic systems, software and information technologies.

Both cooperation and new project goal

Turkey's Ambassador to Kuwait Aisha Hilal Sayan Koytak also visited the Turkish companies participating in the fair. Koytak participated in the meetings held with the delegations of the countries participating in the fair by the Turkish official delegation.

Turkish defense industry companies aim to create new business opportunities in the region with armored vehicles, maritime platforms, weapons, information security and software solutions.

Turkish defense industry companies, which currently meet the various needs of Kuwaiti security forces, are expected to develop and deepen the cooperation potential in the country with new projects.

For this purpose, during the exhibition, which will end on December 12th, participants will be presented with information about their capabilities and cooperation opportunities will be presented at the Turkish national stand, especially to the military officials of Kuwait.
