The armed training ship AL SHAMAL, built by Anadolu Shipyard, was delivered to the Qatar Navy in a ceremony attended by the Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar and the Minister of Defense of Qatar Khalid bin Muhammed al-Atiyye in February.
Qatar Navy signed 3 agreements with Anadolu Shipyard for the construction of 4 training ships in March 2018. Turkey had delivered the armed training ship AL DOHA to the Qatar Navy in 2021.
