Satellite trial permission from BTK to ASELSAN

BTK granted Aselsan the test permit for ASELSAT cube satellite that it developed with the partnership of Istanbul Technical University.

ASELSAT, which was developed with the partnership of ASELSAN and Istanbul Technical University, explained that it is a small nano cube satellite with space of 1 kilogram and 10 centimeters for space exploration.

"With the optical task burden (camera) on it, it will record any area in the world and it will download the images it receives while passing through the communication cone of ITU Satellite Communication and Remote Sensing Central Earth Station (UHUZAM) via the X-Band Transmitter on the ground station."

Sayan, ASELSAT Cube Satellite Project, which is developed by ASELSAN X-Band Transmitter during the orbit of the mission to perform verification and ASELSAN products aimed to gain history, he added.

ASELSAT CUP Satellite Development Project is funded by ASELSAN's own resources.

In addition, the former General Directorate of Aviation and Space Technologies of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, the Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was also granted permission for the UBAKUSAT cube satellite, which was developed by the Dean's Office, Sayan said.
