'Mehmetçik's new bayonet' is ready for duty

Turkey's first national automated air weapons system Alger, BMC's multi-purpose armored vehicle was presented to the use of Vuran integrated security forces.

ASELSAN, which develops weapon systems that can be used in various platforms, has come to an end in its work on automatic mortar which is one of the indispensable elements of modern infantry.

The 120 millimeter mortar arm system, which is described as "the new bayonet of Mehmetçik", has been completely developed by ASELSAN.

Alkar, which was exhibited at the 13th International Defense Industry Fair for the first time in 2017, was subjected to a series of tests.

Alkar, who was later integrated into the Vuran vehicle of the BMC, was sent off by his side, developing and producing the team.
